Groep van 15 personen of meer die reizen naar Essaouira?
Kaart en routebeschrijving
To get to L’ane Vert from Essaouira you need to first take a taxi to Smimou (15Dh collective taxi) and then a taxi from Smimou to Tafedna Village (10Dh collective taxi).
There are also buses going from Essaouira to Smimou for 8D.
Coming from Agadir you need to find a taxi ( 70Dh if collective )or bus ( 50/70Dh ) going to Smimou, then another taxi to Tafedna.
There are three ways to get to L’ane Vert depending on whether you arrive by taxi, car or foot -
BY FOOT FROM THE VILLAGE
Everyone at the village is super friendly and if you’re not afraid of asking for directions then your best hope is to just to ask around in the village and there is generally always someone passing our way.
1) Through the farm garden ( blue way )
You have to follow the main street and go towards the end of the village. Follow the houses to the left and stay along this path until you get to some date trees. At the date trees the path turns right and you start to follow what we affectionately call ‘the Vietnamese path’. You will jump over wooden barriers, cross old men fixing pumps, dodge giant wells and come out just next to a dry river bed.
Start to walk up the hill on the left. After about 50m there is a little road to the right. Take this road and after 250m you will come to L’ane Vert.
This is by far the most confusing path to get to us, but it is by far the funnest!
2) Through the beach ( purple way )
Leave the village and start to walk down the beach heading south. After about 10-15mins you can take a left turn into the bushes and you should be able to see us – a big stone building with a terrace (we are just to the left of a super fancy hotel with manicured lawns). Keep walking towards the inviting looking terrace and shout out as you arrive so we can get the Moroccan tea brewing for your arrival.
FROM THE MAIN ROAD – BY FOOT OR CAR
If you are taking a taxi tell them to drop you off at the top of ‘la piste’ before the village, also known as ZAOUIT.
If you are driving – after being blown away by the spectacular ocean views, start to pay attention for a dirt track on the left-hand side of the road that follows the side of the hill. You will start to climb up a small hill and at the crest of the hill will be the dirt track on your left.
Take this dirt track and you will cross houses on your right, then some houses on your left. You will eventually descend and cross a dry river bed. Cross the river bed, keeping to your left. Start to climb uphill for about 50m and on your right side there is another dirt road. Take this road and follow it for about 200m until you come to L’ane Vert.
AND REMEMBER – Everybody is super friendly, so please don’t hesitate to ask for directions and if in doubt please call us!
